CORRELATION (Coursework Sample) Content: A manager at a small organization is interested in determining the impact of the recent company outing to Camp Feel-Good on job satisfaction. She would like to compare those who attended and completed the individual and team building exercises during the weekend event to those who did not attend, without making any assumptions regarding which group will have higher job satisfaction. A job satisfaction survey is administered 1 month after the event to 40 employees (20 who attended and 20 who did not attend). The survey is a 10 item Likert scale measure (scale: 1=à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ Very Dissatisfied" to 5=à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ Very Satisfiedà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ) with a range of total scores from 10-50, where the higher the score, the greater the level of job satisfaction. For the scatter plot please view the excel file have uploaded to get clear understanding. c. Coefficient of correlation r =n(à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã¢â‚¬Ëœxy)-(à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã¢â‚¬Ëœx)(à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã¢â‚¬Ëœy)[n(à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã¢â‚¬Ëœx2)-(à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã¢â‚¬Ëœx)2][n(à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã¢â‚¬Ëœy2)-(à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã¢â‚¬Ëœy)2] r =14(2596.99)-(à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã¢â‚¬Ëœ41.99)(859)[14(129.112)-(41.99)2][14(53005)-(859)2] r = 0.0689 Therefore r ²,which is the coefficient of determination will be r ² = (0.0689) ² r ² = 0.004747 That is; 4.747% which we could now use to make our conclusion. Correlation effect is how set of given data are related to each other and from the above result we can confidently conclude that the relationship between the father gpa and child`s social skills is very low. b.) t = rà ¢Ã‹â€ Ã… ¡n-21-(r) ² t = 0.002à ¢Ã‹â€ Ã… ¡14-21-(0.002) ² t = 0.006928 From this data and tests from the sample we can conclude that based on the workings, there is significant correlation between the fathers GPA and child's social skills. e.) Given the result obtained from the correlation effects calculation(r=0.002), I can tell my friend that the given data are related to each other but the relationship is not strong enoug...
